Resource Consent Plan Change & Approval, Visual Impact Assessment, Masterplanning & Full Landscape Architectural Consulting Services for a 5000 acre working sheep station overlooking Palliser Bay. Geoff in conjunction with the client and in-house planners contributed to the plan change application and investment portfolio for a comprehensive 400-acre resort as part of working sheep station including a new lodge, 65 residential dwellings and ancillary buildings, conservation and amenity plantings. Subsequently, Geoff was responsible for overall design and masterplanning of phase 1, including substantial earthworks, a new lodge and a number of luxury cottages. Often listed among the top 20 international resort hideaways in the world, Wharekauhau is the recipient of numerous awards including the New Zealand Tourism Award for Luxury Lodges, Boutique Hotels and Exclusive Retreats in 1999 and 2001.
